Mission
Soroptimist of Moses Lake awards scholarships to graduating female high school seniors in Moses Lake who have overcome hardship, such as poverty, homelessness, or foster care, and are pursuing higher education. SIML's designated High School Scholarship committee reviews every application and chooses recipients based on financial need and the hardship they have overcome.
Vision
Every local girl has access to education, so she can reach her full potential and live her dreams. This is a program of our chapter, funded and managed locally.
Impact
In 2026 we awarded $15,000 in scholarships to 7 young women.
Over the past 10 years, we've provided more than $75,500 to local high school seniors.
Every dollar comes from local fundraising and community support.
How it Works
Students apply through the Moses Lake Local Scholarship Application, organized through Moses Lake High School. Applications are then passed to our committee for review. Scholarship funds go directly to each student's account at the school she chooses.
