Mission
Care4Kids helps our youngest students feel confident and ready to learn. Moses Lake School District teachers and counselors anonymously refer K-5 children who need a little care and encoragement in their lives, and our members fill a brand-new backpack with the essentials: socks, underwear, jeans, shirts, tennis shoes, a sweatshirt or jacket for the season, books, and a hygiene kit of full-sized items.
Vision
When children have what they need, they can focus on learning and feel good about themselves. Our Care4Kids backpacks help build bright futures of children throughout our community.

Impact
Care4Kids was our chapter's first signature project, created in the fall of 2008.
Over 1,600 backpacks and 2,000 hygiene kits have been delivered to local children.
50 students received a backpack this school year.
Counselors and teachers often tell us they see a change in a child's self-esteem after receiving one.
How it Works
Each referred child can receive one backpack per year. Members work with the school district to find the right sizes and items. To protect each child's privacy, a school counselor delivers every backpack discreetly.
