Mission
Our Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking committee raises community awareness of the issues and risks facing women and children in our community. We partner with local organizations to help people recognize the signs and patterns of abuse and trafficking, and we support those organizations with volunteer hours and donations.
Vision
A community where women and children are safe, and where anyone in crisis knows help is close by and how to access it.
Impact
In 2024, our committee was the first to donate to Othello PD's Human Trafficking Taskforce through Blue Bridge Alliance. This transaction helped connect OPD for future no-fee donations from private & nonprofit organizations.

In 2026, we donated $2,000 to local law enforcement to help victims of domestic violence, child exploitation and human sex trafficking: $1,500 to the Othello Police Department and $500 to the Moses Lake Police Department.

For New Hope/Kids Hope, we annually wrap 1,000 candy bars for Halloween, provide holiday gifts to multiple families, and help when there is a need to furnish new homes and shelters.
Awareness & Education
Detectives from the Othello Police Department's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force have become annual guests at our SIML program meetings, sharing how these crimes show up in our region. The more our community understands, the better we can protect and support the people at risk.
